Frequently Asked Questions

When can I bring my newborn for their first check?

It is never too early or too late to start chiropractic care. Babies can get checked and adjusted as soon as you as a mother feel ready to leave the house and visit your chiropractor. Sometimes chiropractors offer home visits, what can make it easier for some families to receive care.

I heard chiropractic care can be very beneficial in pregnancy, when is the best time to start?

Ideally, we love for all women to begin care even before they are pregnant. This can help to restore proper biomechanical function and get their body ready for the physical demands of growing a new human being.

Many women begin care when they start experiencing discomfort, pain or mobility issues.

Regardless of when you start, we’ll tailor care to your specific needs, concerns and goals.

Will the adjustment hurt?

Adjustments are beneficial and do not hurt.
It can happen that people may experience minor soreness, aches, or fatigue following an adjustment.

However adjustments in pregnancy and for new borns & children are tailored to their needs and are much gentler for their bodies.

How long will my adjustment take?

The adjustment itself is quick and efficient, only taking a few minutes.

Always keep in mind that it's not the duration of the adjustment that promotes healing. Healing happened in between the appointments what makes the consistent removal of interferences within the nervous system important to allow the body to heal naturally.

Can I see a chiropractor if I'm pregnant?

Yes!
Our Chiropractors are specially trained to work with pregnant women in all stages of pregnancy, using specific techniques that ensure comfort throughout the whole pregnancy.
Having your spine examined by a Chiropractor can be highly beneficial as it helps to ensure that your pelvis is in the correct position, providing space for your baby to grow and move around comfortably.

Should I still see a chiropractor if i'm not in any pain?

Just like we schedule regular dental appointments for check-ups on our teeth and gums, a visit to a Chiropractor is essential to maintaining optimal spinal and nervous system function.
It's important to note that pain is not a reliable indicator of how well the nervous system is working.
Issues could be developing before pain sets in, so it's best to take a preventative approach to care, rather than reacting to pain.
